Bowler named Spits VP of Hockey Ops
LaSalle Vipers head coach and general manager Bill Bowler has been named the Windsor Spitfires Vice President of Hockey Operations.
Bowler, 40, will work alongside Spitfires general manager Warren Rychel while continuing his roles with the Vipers.
The Toronto native is the Windsor Spitfires all-time leading scorer, posting a franchise record 467 points and an OHL record 318 assists in 250 career regular season games.
He has guided the Vipers to a pair of excellent seasons in his two years behind the bench in LaSalle.
In 2013-14, he and his assistants were named Coaching Staff of the Year for guiding a young squad to a second place finish. He followed that up by takin the Vipers to the 2015 Sutherland Cup Final as the Western Conference's fifth seed.
